A 19-year-old woman was killed when she was hit by a car as she was walking down Big Bend Road in Gibsonton on Thursday night, deputies said.
Neeshala Maraj, of Tampa, was walking on Big Bend Road about 11 p.m. when she was struck by a westbound 2012 Ford driven by Gary Frederick Muder, 39, of Riverview, said Debbie Carter spokeswoman for the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
The investigation continues but no charges are expected, Carter said.
