TAMPA - Tampa Chapter 113 of the United Daughters of the Confederacy held its 2008 Confederate Memorial Day Service and Awards Ceremony April 12 at Lowry Park.
The Early Camp Boys performed Southern music and a flag retirement ceremony was held, and members placed flowers in the Hillsborough River in memory of military personnel.
World War I and II Crosses for Military Service and Judah P. Benjamin Certificates were awarded. The certificates honor chapter members and nonmembers for outstanding civic, conservation, educational, environmental, humanitarian or patriotic endeavors and achievements.
