Parents looking for intense programs suited to specific interests have many options in the Hillsborough County School District.
One avenue is magnet schools.
Magnets receive federal funding to offer specialized or advanced curricula. They were created to promote voluntary desegregation, but magnet schools serve students from a larger area, some countywide.
