Commuters returning from the holiday break Monday will find one southbound lane of Franklin Street closed for streetcar line construction.
The lane will be closed between Whiting and Brorein streets from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. One southbound lane will remain open, as will the Cumberland Avenue access into the Fort Brooke Garage.
The Hillsborough Area Region Transit Authority is extending its TECO Line Streetcar to Whiting Street.
The northbound lanes of Franklin will remain closed between Brorein and Cumberland as part of the project.
