The Shops at Wiregrass, at State Road 56 and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard will kick off Symphony in Lights, a holiday light show with more then 250,000 LED lights choreographed to the music of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Shows will be nightly on the hour from 6 to 9 p.m. starting Saturday and running through Dec. 31.
Entertainment will begin at 5 p.m. Saturday with live music by Late Night Brass and the Symphony in Lights beginning at 6 p.m.
Volunteers will sell blinking star pins on the weekends through Dec. 24 as part of the Light up the Night program to support a different local charity each week. The proceeds will benefit the Shriners Hospitals for Children, as well as the Kids Wish Network, during the kick-off celebration, a news release stated.
Photos with Santa will be from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Saturday in the Kids Play Area at Center Court.
The mall allows pet photos with Santa every Monday night (Santa Paws) from 4 to 8 p.m. Nov. 22 to Dec. 20, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit local animal charities.
The synthetic ice rink also will be back on Piazza Avenue by the restaurants with skating for a nominal fee, which includes skate rental, from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday to Jan. 2.
