A Paso Fino parade and show highlighted the list of new events this year at the 36th annual Pioneer Days Festival, which was held Saturday through Monday at the Pioneer Florida Museum and Village.
The majestic show horses, known for their distinct gait and comfortable ride, paraded through the festival Saturday afternoon. Dozens of riders and trainers from across Central Florida trotted to Dade City for the festival.
The weekend also included a fine arts show and sale; antiques show and sale; and demonstrations of historical crafts and model trains. The buildings on the museum grounds were open. There also was musical entertainment, butterfly walks and talks about hummingbirds and bluebirds.
