30-year-old bicyclist killed in hit-and-run

TAMPA --

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has identified the bicyclist who died in a hit-and-run crash Saturday.

Ishizuka Kayoko, 30, of Tampa, died in the Saturday morning crash when a vehicle struck and killed the bicyclist near the University of South Florida.

Detectives found the vehicle that struck Kayoko on Saturday. Investigators are trying to contact the owner and determine who was driving at the time of the fatal crash, the sheriff's office said.

Kayoko was heading south on Bruce B. Downs Boulevard in the bike lane near University Square Drive when a vehicle struck the bike from behind, the sheriff's office said.

Deputies received the call at about 1:40 a.m.
