TBO.com viewers weighed in on a story about Ballyhoo Bar & Grill's proposal to build a bridge over the Upper Tampa Bay Trail.
The business off Ehrlich Road is seeking permission from Hillsborough County officials to erect an overpass connecting its main parking lot with an overflow lot. A bridge would give customers safer access to the bar/restaurant and their vehicles when the trail is closed at night. Here are some viewers' comments about the request:

- Posted by Budkind2u on Jan. 18: "Ballyhoo was there first. And besides, if they let people park in their lot to use the trail during the day, I think they are doing more than most … to help the trail. The least we could do is let them keep their customers safe and off the road."
- Posted by clearwaterdiver on Jan. 18: "Think about this... Do you want local businesses supporting the next trail wherever it may be? You just may want to not be so selfish with the trail you have, as you may not get more approved if all the businesses get treated badly by the city when it comes to trails."
- Posted by DRW on Jan. 18: "What is so difficult parking your car in their back parking lot and taking a couple of steps across the trail to the restaurant. Something doesn't smell right about this!"
