The Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce recently threw a luau for about 200 people, and six of them walked away with its annual awards.

New president takes helm
Part of the Greater Riverview chamber's annual awards dinner is the installation of its president and board for 2012. At this year's event, Ed Booth of Huth & Booth Photography accepted the leadership gavel from outgoing president Sherry Walker of Crane Tech.
Honorary mayor's race ends
After collecting more than $4,000 in her bid for the title, Lisa Kennedy of Alley Cat Pest Control was named 2012 honorary mayor of Riverview. Half of her proceeds will go to the Greater Riverview Chamber and the rest will benefit Faces of Courage and Mended Little Hearts.
Kennedy's opponents in the race were Stuart Mackey of Mackey Productions, Wendy Milenkevich of The Preserve at Alafia and Gabrielle Perham of the Riverview Boys & Girls Club.
Keller Williams adds staff member
Victoria Ginty recently joined Keller Williams Realty South Shore. Many in the area recognize her for her skills in handling distressed properties, but others know her as the lead singer and fiddler for Gypsy Hyway, a popular blues band. Ginty also is a champion equestrian.
