A federal jury Wednesday found an Odessa man guilty of possessing cocaine with intent to distribute.
According to testimony and evidence, Antonius Russel Ford, 28, bought hundreds of grams of cocaine and crack cocaine from a supplier in Town ’N Country. Ford resold the drugs in Spring Hill and elsewhere, prosecutors said.
During the investigation, numerous telephone conversations between Ford and a supplier were intercepted by law enforcement, according to court documents. On April 12, federal agents executed search warrants at two Town ’N Country businesses and recovered about 255 grams of cocaine and several thousand dollars in cash, according to a news release from acting U.S. Attorney Lee Bentley.
Ford, who was indicted May 13, faces a maximum penalty of 30 years in federal prison. His sentencing hearing has not yet been scheduled, Bentley said.
