Organizers of the HIS Storehouse Outreach and Thrift Center's annual Back 2 School Festival are looking forward to a sequel.
The festival, held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, included the distribution of hundreds of free backpacks and school supplies at the Alice Hall Community Center, 38116 Fifth Ave. There also was food, carnival games and discount coupons for children's haircuts.
The center is still looking for donations of school supplies and backpacks. Donations can be dropped off at the center from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
