10:50 p.m.: Hillsborough County is having a problem receiving vote totals from approximately 150 precincts because of transmission problems, according to Hillsborough County Commissioner Kevin White, who also is a member of the county's canvassing board.
The problem, the second major technical problem of tonight's vote-counting, comes on the heels of a slower-than-expected download of early votes.
White said approximately 150 optical scanners are being transported to the elections supervisor's office on Falkenburg Road so the votes can be uploaded on-site. That process is expected to take about 90 minutes, once the machines arrive, he said.
Election officials were trying to complete downloading the early votes before the precinct machines arrived.
