There may be no bigger letdown at the end of a fun-filled day at the fair than forgetting where you parked your car.

Technology is here to help.

The Florida State Fair offers a free app for iPhone and iPad that includes a "Find My Car" feature. Users can set their car location, and the app plots the spot.

Users can also place themselves on the map to help navigate the fairgrounds.

There is also an interactive fair schedule that provides reminder "alerts" for events.

The app, which is available through iTunes or the iPhone app store, includes access to a fair e-newsletter as well as social networks Facebook and Twitter.

The Florida State Fair opens Thursday and runs through Feb. 20.

The fairgrounds are at Interstate 4 and U.S. 301.
