Local representatives of the health care and insurance industries will speak about health care reform today at a luncheon sponsored by the Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce.
Speakers will include Mike Fencel, CEO, Brandon Regional Hospital; Stephen Mester, cardiologist, Bay Area Cardiology Associates; Steve Birtman, government relations regional director, Humana; and Darrell Schwabe, agent, Schwabe Benefits Group.
The chamber organized the lunch to discuss recent findings published by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and New England Journal of Medicine that outline how health care reform could impact small businesses, health care providers and patients.
The lunch, set for noon today at Crowne Plaza-Tampa East, is open to the public. Seats, which are limited, cost $23, or $18 for chamber members.
