Police and firefighters say West Gandy Boulevard between West Shore Boulevard and South Manhattan Avenue is open after a leak in a natural gas line caused an evacuation of the area.
Authorities advised motorists to avoid the area after construction ruptured the 2-inch line near Gandy and South Trask Street about 9:30 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
