A woman from Land O' Lakes got one lucky spin on a slot machine Tuesday at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and hit a jackpot worth more than $2.5 million, the casino announced.
The winner, who was not identified in the casino's written statement, won on a game called Wheel of Fortune Megajackpot.
The jackpot was fed by a network that links slot machines in 300 casinos across the country. Each play on any of the machines increases the jackpot until someone wins it.
The jackpot starts at $1 million. To win one of the top jackpots, someone must play $10 at a time. The top jackpots are paid in annual installments.
