An ambulance collided with a car on Bay Pines Boulevard, critically injuring the car driver and causing minor injuries to an ambulance passenger, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.
Patricia Wilson Skirrow, 49, of St. Petersburg, was taken to Bayfront Medical Center on Friday night and was listed in critical condition, the highway patrol said.
Ambulance passenger Brian Findlay, 40, of Clearwater, was treated for minor injuries at Bayfront, the patrol said. The driver, Alex Lee Cramer, 25, of Seminole, was not injured.
Troopers said Skirrow was driving north in a driveway at 8800 Bay Pines Blvd., the address of the Boca Ciega Resort and Marina and condominiums, at about 11:15 p.m.
She attempted to make a left turn and drove into the path of the eastbound Sunstar ambulance, the highway patrol said.
The ambulance hit the front of the driver's side of Skirrow's car, the report said.
