A European reality show based on the travel adventures of eight men and women from Italy will film segments in the Tampa Bay area Monday and Tuesday.
The group, ages 25 to 35, will visit The Florida Aquarium, Ybor City, Lowry Park Zoo and Caladesi Island in Pinellas County. They will dine at the Pelagia Trattoria and Columbia restaurants in Tampa and spend the night at the Renaissance Tampa Hotel at International Plaza.
The Friendstour 2009 group does its own filming and lighting, said Mary Lou Janson, a local public relations representative who is helping coordinate the event.
The group's experiences will be aired over 15 episodes on satellite television, the Web and social networking sites.
