Some post offices open today

Official versus real holidays have you confused? Just to add to that confusion, here's the deal on mail delivery and post office operations this weekend.

Your office's official July Fourth holiday is today, but mail will still be delivered and some post offices will be open - for at least part of the day.

The Suncoast district of the U.S. Postal Service - which includes Tampa, St. Petersburg, Sarasota, Lakeland and Brooksville - says that some post offices will close or shorten their hours today. Call 1-800-ASK-USPS (275-8777) for information on specific post offices' hours.

All post offices will be closed on Saturday, and only Express Mail will be delivered.
