Four people were arrested after Pinellas County sheriff's detectives busted two Clearwater-area grow houses Friday night, detectives say.
Earlier this week, a Marion County mother and son were arrested after authorities reported finding more than 100 marijuana plants in their homes.
According to a report, narcotics detectives following a tip served warrants at 1987 Wolford Road and 2324 Moore Haven Drive in Clearwater late Friday and early Saturday.
Detectives said they seized 147 marijuana plants, with a street value of nearly $250,000.
Arrested were Gary Everett Dickson, 28, of 2028 Pinehurst Drive; Steven Bradford, 22, of 1987 Wolford Road; and Joseph Zino Steinkoenig, 28, and Jennifer Wolford, 26, both of 2324 Moore Haven Drive.
Detectives say the four are acquainted and are thought to be associates in the growing enterprise.
All four have been charged with trafficking and manufacture of marijuana, according to the report. Steinkoenig and Wolford, who are boyfriend and girlfriend, are also charged with two counts of child abuse for exposing two children in the house to the marijuana, the report said.
In Marion County, authorities say a woman and her 27-year-old son are facing several charges after agents seized about 110 marijuana plants from their homes this week.
Michael Lopez and 51-year-old Nancy Smith have been taken to the Marion County Jail.
Agents said that authorities smelled marijuana in Lopez's home and removed about 80 plants after a search. Investigators then found about 30 plants in Smith's home.
