Fans of NBC's offbeat comedy "The Office" can win a chance to share a Tampa Bay Rays game with Melora Hardin, who plays Jan Levinson, the former love interest of Steve Carell's character, Michael Scott.
Fans of "Monk" might be interested, too. Hardin also has played Trudy, the dead wife of sleuth Adrian Monk (Tony Shalhoub).
Hardin is scheduled to be in Tampa on Sept. 18 and 19 to help promote the debut of "The Office" reruns on WMOR, Channel 32.
The series will air at 7 and 7:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday beginning Sept. 21.
On Sept. 18, she will be taking part in a promotion with WMOR, the Rays and WXTB, 97.7 FM. She will throw out the first pitch at the Rays-Toronto Blue Jays game and lead the fans in the traditional singing of "Take Me Out to the Ball Game."
She also will meet winners of an "Ultimate Suite" sweepstakes. Enter at www.wmortv32.com or www.98rocksmyoffice.com to enter. Four winners will be allowed to bring up to nine guests each, WMOR officials say. The contest ends Sept. 11.
"This is an important event for us because 'The Office' is probably the biggest addition to our lineup in 15 years," says WMOR President and General Manager Ken Lucas. "It's one of the great comedies on television, and we worked very hard to get it."
Also joining the WMOR comedy lineup is "My Name Is Earl," which will air at 5 and 5:30 p.m. weekdays.
Hardin, 42, has been in more than 70 films and TV shows. She most recently co-starred as the love interest to Billy Ray Cyrus in "Hannah Montana: The Movie" alongside Miley Cyrus and was in "17 Again" opposite Zac Efron.
Her other box office credits include "Thank You for Smoking," "Absolute Power" and "27 Dresses."
