Tiffany Melovich, who teaches at Bevis Elementary School, Lithia, is Florida's Reading Teacher of the Year for elementary schools.
Melovich was honored by the state Department of Education's reading initiative, Just Read! Florida. She was one of five finalists for the elementary award.
A Brandon native and Bloomingdale High School graduate, she has taught at Bevis for seven years. She previously taught at Bryan and Folsom elementary schools.
