New York pop artist Charles Fazzino will return to the Tampa Bay area to present his colorful and frenetic vision of Super Bowl XLIII.
The NFL licensed Fazzino to paint a Super Bowl poster, a polychromatic depiction of Raymond James Stadium under a Tampa skyline. Playful touches include hot-air balloons, leaping dolphins and skeletons in pirate garb.
Fazzino is known for his vibrant three-dimensional serigraphs of city scenes and sports stadiums that resemble children's pop-up books.
The NFL first licensed Fazzino for the 2001 Super Bowl in Tampa. He has painted every championship game since.
Fazzino is the official artist for the Taste of the NFL, an annual charity event featuring the nation's top chefs. He will sign posters and display his Super Bowl art collection. He will also appear at the Inside the Huddle Party, a fundraiser hosted by Tampa Bay Buccaneers Brian Griese and Kevin Carter.
