LAKELAND - LAKELAND - LAKELAND A neighborhood spat over loud music nearly turned violent early this morning and left one man facing an aggravated assault charge, Lakeland police reported.
Thomas R. Davis, 39, and his wife Lisa arrived at their home in the King's Manor Mobile Home Park late Sunday to find neighbors playing loud music, police reported. They had words with a neighbor, Wilfredo Ramos, 26, who with several other people followed them back to their home, police reported.
Thomas Davis went into his home and came outside with a gun, which he pointed at the group, telling them to get back, according to police. People continued to move toward him, and Davis tried to fire the gun at Ramos, police said. It malfunctioned, and when police arrived, they arrested Davis on aggravated assault and resisting arrest charges.
