THONOTOSASSA - Two horses died and a third was injured early Saturday in a fire at a stable barn at Harney Road and Fowler Avenue, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue spokesman Ray Yeakley said.
Shortly before 6 a.m., a fire was reported in the 2,000-square-foot aluminum facility of Tampa Horse Sales at 10006 E. Fowler Ave., he said.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
Yeakley did not know whether the animals died from smoke inhalation or the fire.
