A 25-year-old Osprey man died this morning after he lost control of his 1997 Lincoln and it struck several parked cars and a tree, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The Lincoln crashed about 2:29 a.m. while heading south on Sarabay Road in Sarasota County. Driver David Makowiecki, of 611 Bayview Ave., was pronounced dead on scene, a Florida Highway Patrol release states.
