Tampa Bay Area Teens Killed In Car Crashes In 2007

Tampa Bay area teens killed in car crashes teenagers in 2007:

•Jan. 9 - Krista Sellars, 14 is killed when the vehicle she was a passenger in collided with another car while changing lanes in Land O' Lakes. The drive was 16-years old.

•March 5 - 16-year old Monica Caraballo-Aguila is killed when she is thrown from the vehicle her sister Yachira is driving and is struck by another vehicle in Plant City.

•March 9 - Christopher Logan Ray, 17 is killed when he runs a stop sign while riding his mini-bike and is struck by an oncoming motorist in Tampa.

•March 17 - 16-year old, Thomas Justin McPhee is killed when the vehicle he is a passenger in strikes another car in Oldsmar. The driver is also 16-years old.

•April 21 - Lucia "Lucy" Thibodeaux, 16 is killed when she is struck by a motorcycle on Courtney Campbell Causeway after she exited the vehicle she was in because it had struck a guardrail.

•May 4 - 17-year old Derek G. Teele is killed after losing control of his SUV while speeding and weaving through traffic in Pinellas Park.

•May 22 - Amy Lynne Fette, 16 is killed when her sister loses control of the car they are in as it navigated a curve in Thonotosassa.

•June 13 - 18-year old Kacee Hanscom dies when she attempts to drive across railroad tracks in front of an oncoming train in Lakeland.

•July 6 - Thomas J. Kranendonk, 16 is killed when a tractor he is operating overturns as he works at his father's ski boat business in Land O' Lakes.

•Aug. 29 - 17-year old Matthew Laidley is killed when they vehicle he is a passenger in loses control in Wesley Chapel. The driver is also 17 years old.

•Aug. 31 - A Tampa resident, Mary G. Taaffe, 18 is killed after she loses control of her vehicle in Ft. Myers.

•Aug. 31 - 16-year old Jessie Leigh White of Brandon is killed when the vehicle in which she was a passenger collided with a Mack truck in Highlands County.

•Sept. 14 - Gregory J. Darden, 17 dies after his SUV goes off the road, overturns and strikes a tree in Land O' Lakes.

•Sept. 15 - 14-year old Racquel Ann Carreras is killed after being ejected from a vehicle in St. Petersburg. The 15-year old driver lost control, hit a curb, flipped several times, hit a fence and then a tree.

•Sept. 22 - Morgan Brown, 17 dies when the vehicle she is a passenger in runs a stop sign and is struck by another vehicle near Lake Wales. The driver is 18 years old.
