Investigators are interviewing a man they think robbed three 7-Eleven convenience stores today within 90 minutes.
He was being interviewed at the police station.
The total take from the three robberies was $135, police said.
The first robbery was at 12:09 a.m. at the 7-Eleven at 3956 Elkcam Blvd., where a man pulled a revolver on a clerk and took $45, St. Petersburg Police Department spokesman George Kajtsa said.
At 1:05 a.m., the man walked into a 7-Eleven at 2632 Park St. N., pulled out a gun and demanded money, Kajtsa said. The clerk emptied the cash register and gave the thief $70, police said. A red, older model Dodge Intrepid was seen speeding away from the store, Kajtsa said.
At 1:34 a.m., the man walked into a 7-Eleven at 11590 Fourth St. N., Kajtsa said. He demanded money, pointing a gun at two employees and a friend of the employees, police said. He made off with $20, police said.
