St. Petersburg Fire & Rescue responded to a car crash just north of Exit 18 at 54th Av. S., on Interstate 275.

ST. PETERSBURG --

One of the ramps leading to Interstate 275 is no longer backed up following a three-vehicle wreck on the interstate, fire officials said.

The accident occurred at 6:36 a.m. today just north of the 54th Avenue South exit, said Lt. Joel Granata of St. Petersburg and Rescue. Motorists trying to access the northbound lanes of the interstate temporarily experienced a backup due to the wreck, he said.

A person in the wreck was extricated and had minor injuries, Granata said. No one else was injured.
