The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating an accident involving a school bus in Spring Hill about 8:45 a.m. today.
A school bus carrying 15 J.D. Floyd Elementary School students was northbound on Northcliffe Boulevard, about to make a left turn on Keysville Avenue, witnesses said.
Several southbound vehicles stopped, and the bus began making its turn. Another southbound car went around the stopped cars and struck the rear bumper of the bus, pulling it three-quarters of the way off, witnesses said.
No one on the bus was injured, school officials said. Another bus was brought in to take the children to school.
A man and a woman in the car were taken to a hospital. Their names and conditions have not been released.
The southbound lanes of Northcliffe Boulevard were closed during the investigation.
