MANATEE COUNTY - Sheriff's detectives say they had arrested two people in connection with several burglaries dating back to August 2007.
Roy Whittaker, 37, and Denice Hendricks, 31, are charged with numerous counts of burglary and use of stolen credit cards.
Whittaker and Hendricks are accused of stealing $492,000 worth of property - including electronics, jewelry, firearms and personal paperwork.
The couple made fraudulent transactions with stolen credit cards at a variety of businesses in Manatee, the Sheriff's Office reported Tuesday.
Search warrants were executed for at Whittaker's and Hendricks' home, 2700 block 26th Ave. Drive W., Bradenton; a storage unit in Hendricks' name; and a hotel room in Sarasota County occupied by Whittaker and Hendricks.
The warrants resulted in the recovery of an enormous amount of stolen property belonging to multiple victims, detectives reported.
Additional charges are expected.
