Authorities Searching For Absconded Sex Offender

BROOKSVILLE - Authorities are searching for a sex offender who cut off his GPS monitor and left his home on Painters Street in the beginning of June.

David Clifton Driggers Sr., 52, is thought to be on foot or hitching rides. Authorities say his work history is sporadic, but his trade is carpentry or home improvements. He has ties to Spring Hill, Orlando and Jacksonville.

He is described as standing 5-foot-10, weighing 172 pounds, balding with gray/brown hair. He was last seen with longer hair in the back, but it's unknown if he still has a mustache. Driggers speaks with a deep voice and has a strong Southern accent.

He has multiple tattoos, including a tear drop below left eye and a lion on his chest and stomach. On his left arm he has eyes, lightning bolt, skulls stranger, reaper, SWP, White and USA. On his right arm is wire, skulls, Heart Eagle, Pride and Dave. On his left leg he has Carline, ball, chain, pick and shovel. And on his right leg is a female.
