A Sunday morning house fire in Seffner killed three dogs and left 15 people homeless.
Six adults and six children lived in the two-story home at 959 Kingsway Road, and three people lived in outlying buildings on the property, according to the Tampa Bay Chapter of the American Red Cross. Those buildings were not damaged during the fire, but their electricity came from the main house.
No one was hurt in the fire, and no other homes were damaged.
The Red Cross is putting up the residents in a hotel. The fire gutted the house, and the residents lost all of their belongings.
Ten people were sleeping in the house when the fire started.
Twelve fire rescue units and more than 30 firefighters fought the blaze, which was under control in about an hour, according to Hillsborough County Fire spokesman Ray Yeakley.
The fire is under investigation.
