A federal marshal was involved in a shooting Thursday morning in North Tampa, authorities said.
The marshal was not hurt. A man wanted on an arrest warrant suffered a gunshot wound that was not life-threatening, authorities said.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement responded to the scene at about 11:35 a.m. and assisted the U.S. Marshal's Office in the investigation, FDLE spokeswoman Trena Reddick said.
Authorities would not release other details such as the name of the man shot, the circumstances of the shooting or an exact location other than North Tampa.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office assisted federal and state agencies at the scene as part of the area's fugitive task force, sheriff's office spokesman J.D. Callaway said.
