A woman who died after being struck by a car Sunday night has been identified as Linda Carey, a 51-year-old transient, police said today.
A 1998 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Nikola Uzelac, 22, of St. Petersburg, was southbound on Fourth Street at 17th Avenue North shortly before 11 p.m. and struck Carey as she crossed the street, police said.
Carey died at Bayfront Medical Center slightly more than three hours later, police said.
Alcohol was not involved.
The investigation had not been completed.
