Michael Fields took a 2-week-old boy to St. Joseph's Hospital on Sept. 30, and it was determined the boy had a broken upper right arm, Hillsborough County deputies say.
Deputies arrested Fields on Tuesday. He was charged with one count of child abuse.
No further details were available, including the boy's relationship to Fields.
Fields, 26, of Brandon, remained in Orient Road Jail today. His bail was set at $50,000.
