Investigators have arrested a second man they say went into a private cow pasture with two large dogs and encouraged the animals to chase and attack a calf, an arrest report states.

Justin Luis Olivera, 18, of Brandon, was arrested 3:30 p.m. today by Hillsborough County Animal Services investigators. He was charged with animal cruelty and fighting or baiting animals.

On Thursday, investigators arrested Holvin Rivera, 21, of Brandon. He faces the same charges.

"He released his dog to kill cattle for his own sick amusement," animal services spokeswoman Marti Ryan said Thursday of Rivera.

Olivera and Rivera went into the cattle pasture in Brandon on Feb. 27, the arrest report states. An American bulldog and an American pit bull terrier were let loose.

The dogs attacked a calf, severely injuring it and causing "unnecessary pain, suffering, torture and torment," the report states.

Rivera, who according to the affidavit goes by the nickname "Punisher," was released from Orient Road Jail on Thursday evening after posting $4,000 bail, jail records show.

Olivera remains in Orient Road Jail today. His bail is set at $4,000.
