A wheelchair-bound Manatee County man was robbed of cash he just withdrew from a lender by a man who ran up and snatched his satchel off the wheelchair.
Manatee sheriff's deputies say Laramie Hargrave withdrew $130 from an Amscot check-cashing outlet in the 3400 block of First Street East around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday and put it in a bag on his wheelchair.
As Hargrave rolled himself away from the store, he was approached by a man who asked him how he was doing. The man then grabbed the bag from the wheelchair and ran off with it, deputies said.
No one was immediately arrested in the theft, according to a report.
