A Valrico man faces a felony animal cruelty charge after investigators said he didn't get his dog's skin condition treated.
Investigators seized the dog, Rocky, this week. The dog's eyes were swollen shut and he looked like a burn victim, Hillsborough County Animal Services spokeswoman Marti Ryan said.
The dog had to be euthanized, Ryan said.
William J. Turner III, 43, was arrested about 8:30 a.m. today and is being held on $2,000 bail.
