One suspect has been arrested and another remains on the loose following Saturday's shooting death of a 21-year-old man.
Andrew Alan Jones was shot in the upper body about 1:40 a.m. Saturday in the 7300 block of Hutton Place. He died about an hour later at Tampa General Hospital, police said.
On Sunday night, police arrested Asia Jackson, 18, of Tampa. She was charged with first-degree murder and attempted armed robbery. Another suspect, 22-year-old Christopher Miller, remains at large, according to a police report.
Police determined during their investigation that Jackson called Jones the night he was shot, the report states. Jackson was found Sunday and interviewed by police.
Jackson told police she planned a robbery with Miller, her boyfriend. As she sat in a vehicle with Jones, Miller opened the driver's side door and shot Jones, according to the report. Jackson told police she didn't get money or property during the robbery.
Jackson remains in jail. Her bail has not been set.
