Two youths were seriously injured Wednesday night when they were struck by a car in Hernando County.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers said Caitlin Denton, 15, and Jason A. Colon, 12, both of Spring Hill, were walking along Coronado Drive in Spring Hill shortly after 7 p.m. when they were struck by a northbound 2006 Honda driven by Daniel J. Sirico, 23, of Jacksonville.
Troopers said Sirico did not see the youths walking on the roadway.
Colon was taken to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, where he was admitted in critical condition, troopers said. Denton was listed in serious condition at Oak Hill Hospital in Spring Hill.
Sirico was not injured. No charges were immediately filed.
