Amtrak is offering a $119 roundtrip fare for Auto Train travel for AAA members between Sanford and Lorton, Va. - just south of Washington D.C. - for certain dates.
The offer that requires AAA membership is valid for northbound travel between Jan. 7 and March 12 and southbound travel between Jan. 8 and June 18.
Tickets can be purchased only through Thursday.
Passengers must travel with a vehicle to ride the Auto Train, which operates non-stop daily on its 900-mile route.
Meals are included in the fare price.
Reservations can be made by calling Amtrak at 1-800-872-7245.
Normal round trip coach fares range from $252-$304 for cars, $169-$330 for vans and SUVs and $112-$225 for motorcycles.
The AAA offer does not allow upgrades for sleeping car accommodations.
