Trunk spares aunt, girl

»  Comments | Post a Comment

It was a scary scene with a happy ending.

A woman and her niece were shaken up Wednesday morning when a tree collapsed on their car, shattering the rear window and sending glass flying. Roxano Moyano and 11-month-old Izabella Cintron were in the Toyota Corolla that Moyano was driving along Forest Circle when the tree fell for an unknown reason.

"When I walked over to her, the car was sandwiched between the two forks of the tree and you could see" the rear window shattered, neighbor Wayne Gideons said. "It's just unbelievable that they survived."

Moyano said the baby "had glass all over her hair" and a few scratches. "I'm still shaking."
