Clearwater bicyclist dies after collision with car

A 65-year-old man died Saturday, three days after he collided with a car while riding a bicycle, the Pinellas sheriff's office said.

Paul David Linn, of 1522 Jeffords St., Clearwater, was pronounced dead at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg.

On Wednesday afternoon, Linn rode off the sidewalk on Park Boulevard and ran into the side of a Buick that was making a slow, legal turn onto Park from 90th Street, the sheriff's office said. Linn fell off his bike and his head struck the ground.

The driver of the Buick, identified as David Gentner, 64, of 4818 92nd Lane N., St. Petersburg, was not charged. The collision remains under investigation.
