A St. Petersburg man was arrested Tuesday, accused of repeatedly shooting a man with whom he had argued inside the Bottoms Up Gentlemen's Club in Pinellas Park.
Jacquey Ferguson, a 27-year-old man whose nickname is "Fur," faces one count of attempted murder.
On June 17, Ferguson and the victim, Damian Woodard, got into a physical fight inside the club at 8804 66th St. N., and both men were removed from the club, according to court documents. The fight continued in the parking lot.
A woman who was roughly eight feet away from the pair said she heard Ferguson say he was going to get a gun and kill all of them at which point he went into the back seat of a car and pulled out a handgun, the documents say.
The woman heard Ferguson shoot the weapon at Woodard at least five times, from a distance of five feet, the court documents say. Another woman witness gave a similar account.
Woodard was shot in the right elbow, right flank, right hip, right femur, right knee and left calf. He survived the shooting.
