A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries this afternoon after he crashed into a car, the Largo Police Department said.
Adrian Brown was heading north on Seminole Boulevard at around 5:15 p.m. when a car made a U-turn in front of him, said Largo Police Sgt. Keith Barton.
Brown, who was traveling between 45 to 50 mph, struck the passenger side of the Toyota Corolla and went airborne, Barton said.
He suffered serious but non life-threatening injuries, Barton said.
Brown, who was wearing a helmet, was flown to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg. Kate Stone, the driver of the Corolla, wasn't injured. Further information on them were unavailable.
No one has been cited in the accident, but the case remains under investigation, Barton said.
The accident shut down the three northbound lanes of Seminole Boulevard at 11th Avenue during rush hour.
