A day care center operator arrested on child abuse charges in June is back behind bars.
Dorothy Ann Sampson-Monroe was arrested Monday, accused of failing to appear in court on a driving under the influence charge, records show. She also was recommitted to jail on four counts of child abuse.
Sampson-Monroe, 48, was initially arrested June 10 on the DUI charge.
On June 17, she was arrested on child abuse charges involving four children, ages 3 to 5, at Just For Kids day care on East Busch Boulevard. Later that month, a Hillsborough County judge signed a temporary injunction to keep Monroe and Just For Kids from caring for children.
The state attorney's office is still reviewing the child abuse case.
Sampson-Monroe is being held on $10,000 bail.
