Undercover officers began following the vehicle just before 8 a.m. Marked patrol cars cars joined the pursuit at Hanna Avenue and 22nd Street, police said.
Police said the chase lasted 10 to 15 minutes and that a helicopter was used to track the fleeing car. The chase ended when the vehicle pulled into the driveway of a house at 2913 N. 29th St., and the suspects jumped out and ran.
Arrested were Freddie White, 30, and LaShonda Robinson, 28. Both gave at-large addresses and were charged with armed robbery and aggravated fleeing to elude.
The Mercury, police said, had been stolen from a relative of one of the defendants. No one was injured during the chase.
