A Palm Harbor man is in critical condition after a vehicle crash Thursday afternoon, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Curt Ekberg, 51, was flown to Bayfront Medical Center.
At around 4:38 p.m., Ekberg was driving north on County Road 611 and stopped to make a left turn onto Tarpon Lake Boulevard.
Meanwhile, Fabian Calvo, 32, of Clearwater, was heading south on 611.
When Ekberg made the left turn, Calvo, who was driving a 2009 Toyota, crashed into the passenger side of Ekberg's 2008 Hyundai, FHP said.
Ekberg's car came to a final stop at west side of 611. Calvo's car stopped along the southbound lanes of 611 and westbound lanes of Tarpon Lake Boulevard.
Calvo suffered serious injuries. He was transported to Mease Countyside Hospital.
The case remains under investigation.
