The Florida Department of Transportation this afternoon closed one lane of State Road 574 just west of Valrico Road for crews to inspect a roadway depression.
A traffic flagger is directing traffic in both directions, FDOT said. The closure extends for about a quarter of a mile.
No backups have been reported on the two-lane road, FDOT said.
Motorists can use U.S. 92 as an alternative route.
FDOT staff has recognized a dip in the roadway, and it's determining whether repairs are needed, FDOT said.
